Now, let's take a look at perpendicular lines.

Looking at the graph of these lines, we can see that they:

are both linear
their slopes are - two-thirds2 3 and three-halves 3 2; we find the slope by reducing the fraction formed by putting the rise over the run, which are negative reciprocals
the lines intersect at a right angle

We can verify the slopes are negative reciprocals by changing the equations from Standard Form to Slope-Intercept Form.
